Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is often the first introduction to Energy Psychology and Meridian Energy Therapies, because its approach is so simple and straightforward to learn and yet is profoundly powerful in its effects.  Although it overturns conventional thinking about therapeutic change, the results are transformative.

EFT is a form of psychological acupressure based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture, but without the invasiveness of needles.

Tapping or holding a sequence of accupuncture points while tuning into a problem causes blocks and distress to melt away rapidly and gently, like snow in the sunshine.  This accelerated process enables clients and therapists to work rapidly through layers of decisions and beliefs, memories and emotions to treat the root cause of dysfunction.

EFT has been proven clinically effective (over 80%) for Trauma, Abuse, Stress, Anxiety, Fears, Phobias, Depression, Grief, Addictive Cravings, Children's Issues and hundreds of physical symptoms including headaches, body pains and breathing difficulties.  It really is the missing piece to the healing puzzle.

Here is a picture of its creator Gary Craig and I in Seattle USA in April 2005.  The training on this particular course focused on dealing with people who have serious diseases, like cancer, asthma, hepatitis or fibromyalgia.  It also covered dealing with others who have the misfortune and health consequences of being raped or abused etc.

If you would like to learn Emotional Freedom Techniques,
attend one of our Introductory Workshops.

Absolutley anyone can come along to The EFT Introductory Workshop.

Our one day workshop teaches you how this simple technique actually works to produce the amazing results for dissolving emotional stress and everyday physical symptoms.

  • You will learn how to apply the technique working on yourself and also working with a partner.
  • You will understand and learn how to apply EFT to release physical symptoms such as pain, headaches, sore throats, congestion, muscle tension, food intolerance, indigestion, itching and numbness.
  • You will learn and understand how to apply EFT for releasing emotions such as anger, anxiety, frustration, guilt, fear, sadness, loneliness, rejection and gain understanding and clarity as a result.

At the end of the day you will be confident in using EFT for self help and to work with friends and family for releasing emotional stress and day to day physical symptoms. You will also learn when to refer to a qualified practitioner for deeper more complex and chronic problems, that need more experienced facilitation.

Once you've been on an Introductory EFT workshop you will be equipped to resolve many of your fears and phobias, food intolerances, anger, guilt, anxiety and many many more.

If you want to expand and improve your professional practice by using these tools, then after the Introductory Workshop you can choose to attend professional training.

Our professional certified training courses are suitable for all therapists, complementary and conventional health practitioners, counsellors, social workers, psychotherapists, hypnotherapists, personal development coaches, workshop facilitators. Plus any non-therapists interested in self help tools for personal interest without certification.

We offer Advanced Practitioner Training for course graduates.

I N S T R U C T I O N S :

If you want try it out for yourself, then try this:

Start by tapping the fleshy part of the side of your hand, typically where the hand would make contact with a table if you were performing a karate chop. Tap there continuously whilst saying "Even though I am upset with Joe Bloggs (or whatever describes how you are feeling in your own words), I deeply and completely accept myself" And say that statement 3 times whilst tapping.

Then tap on these following points whilst saying "I am upset with Joe Bloggs" (or how you are feeling in your own words):
(1) Top of your head
(2) Beginning of the eyebrow - just off centre at bridge of nose.
(3) The out-side of the eye - where top and bottom eyelids meet.
(4) Under eye - on the orbit bone where you feel a little notch.
(5) Under the nose
(6) Under bottom lip - on the groove of the chin.
(7) Collarbone - just off centre from bottom of throat.
(8) Under your arm - roughly in line with where a ladies bra strap would go round.

Then take a deep but gentle breath and repeat if the feeling has not gone completely.
